CS:GO 2 release date, Rumours After Valve Posts New Logo
CS:GO 2 release date, Rumours After Valve Posts New Logo. Last week Valve sent the CS:GO world into meltdown with rumours and teases for CS:GO 2 release date, the update that will bring CS:GO onto the Source 2 engine. Now they have dropped another tease on Twitter, but this time we could be seeing the new Counter-Strike 2 logo for the first time, meaning a release date could be very soon.
Ultimately when Valve did this exact thing last week, changing the header image of the CS:GO Twitter account, it didn’t seem to lead to anything. We still have no official confirmation that Counter-Strike 2 is real or coming anytime soon. But this time it could be different, as the new header image features what could potentially be a new logo for CS2.
The design uses a colour scheme that hasn’t been used by CS:GO and features the classic CS design, with the silhouette between the two letters. Pretty much since CS:GO was released, Valve has used a similar design, but with the silhouette between CS and GO. This would fit with rumours that Valve could be dropping the Global Offensive part of the name, and instead going with just Counter-Strike.
It is safe to say something could be coming very soon.
While this doesn’t directly point to a release date for Counter-Strike 2, it does seem to be one of the most promising signs that it is coming soon. The last image Valve released could easily have been a coincidence and had nothing to do with this update, but changing it twice in a week, and to a very unique design this time, would suggest that Valve is indeed teasing us. Add in the Always Sunny memes they have used to make fun of the community during this time, and it is safe to say something could be coming very soon.
