Dragon Sword Release? An upcoming open-world RPG scheduled to release on Mobile and PC. This is the Spiritual Successor to Dragon Nest.
Dragon Nest is touted as being one of the greatest PvPvE MMORPGs in the entire genre. The remnants of the community – including players that quit many years ago continue to claim that no MMO does PvP better. And while I never got to play Dragon Nest during its peak – providing me absolutely no insight into the validity of this claim. I can attest to the game being a fun title with some great quality action combat. Comparable to Black Desert or Vindictus? Hardly. But a quality system nonetheless.
So when Park Jung Sik, the CEO of Hound 13 – who was also responsible for Dragon Nest revealed his studio’s latest game, titled Dragon Sword to the world with a full trailer, players lost it. This is the spiritual successor to Dragon Nest – an MMO that has been in a stagnant stage for more than a decade. With some of the best looking combat in an Anime game, and multiplayer comparable to an MMO? But don’t take my word for it. Take a look at it yourself.
The game will be based on Unreal Engine 5 for mobile and PC
Hound 13 may not be a very famous name yet but it was founded by former employees of Eyedentity Games, the same developers who released the hit PC MMORPG Dragon Nest. On the other hand, it did release the action RPG Hundred Soul for mobile platforms.
The developers did release a short trailer, Give the players a short idea of what to expect and what the game would look like. The game does look like Genshin Impact from many aspects. However, this game offers great in-detail features by the looks of the trailer.
The developers did provide a detailed explanation of what the game’s plot would look like and what it will offer. On the game’s website further quoted.
“Dragon Sword aims for manual action play with a sense of hitting along with in-depth scenarios and is being developed into a semi-open world structure based on fields and various interactions. Based on the cute character visual concept that can be communicated at home and abroad. The goal is to implement a bright, light, yet immersive action. It aims to provide cross-platform services that simultaneously support PC/mobile using Unreal Engine.“
Dragon Sword Release
Unfortunately there is no confirmed release date for Dragon Sword as of March 2023. They also haven’t confirmed whether the game is going to have a simultaneous Global launch. More details about its Beta and full release will be made available as the year goes on I assume.
