Wizard Guide | 1 – 70, Ragnarok Origin
Wizard guide, Wizard may be one of the F2P friendly class that will always be indemand in a party. Here is a simple guide for the future high wizard. This guide may be helpful on the early stage of the game.
1. Stats
It’s recommended that you prioritize DEX. A ratio of 2 DEX : 1 INT would be better. You can increase your magic damage using the other method, but basically, your goal is to cast faster. Because the faster you cast, the faster you kill the mobs and the faster you gain exp.
2. Skills
Mage Skills
- This will be my skills recommendation. Becaming wizard is just easy, that is why 3 firewall is needed in preperation of meteor storm.
- It will be up to you if you need 10 cold bolt or 10 lightning bolt or 10 Increase SP.
- You can also put some Frost diver in preperation of Storm Gust, but since SG is not that strong no one is using it specially in grinding.
- If you really need it, you can get the skill points from increase SP since it is cheap to just use Blue potion.
Wizard Skills
- Meteor Storm is the most useful skill here, you should max it as soon as possible.
- Safety Wall is also important, specially in the dungeon or MVP hunt.
- Earth Spike and Quagmire will be optional but not a bad choice to do.
3. Weapon And Shield
Would recommend the Oak Staff because of the high MATK.
At level 50, a significant increase of damage because of your new weapon that will craft.
What you want is this Thorn Staff of Darkness for the weapon and Thorny Buckler for the offhand, since thorn staff is one handed.

- Plankton/Marina
- Boa
- Metaller/Golem/Requiem
- Size Cards (Skel. Mino)
- Race Cards (Hydra, Strouf, Green Petite, Goblin, Flora)
4. Armor
Magic Coat is the most recommended armor because of the Set Attribute.

- Rocker Card
- Baby Desert Wolf Card
- Elemental Cards (Argiope, Swordfish, Pasana, Sandman)
- Marc Card for pvp
5. Boots And Garment
The refined boots and hood are recommended because of the DEX. This is not expensive so you can craft this to help you in the early stage.
Magic Boots is for the magic apprentice’s set.
Hood is the best for wiz because of the INT and DEX stats given.

with or without slot, try to get any of this.
- Level 25 – Flower Ring
- Level 45 – Clip
- Level 65 – Expert Ring / Spiritual Ring
