Blacklist International are the only SEA representative at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023
As the Southeast Asia super team, Blacklist International will make their LAN debut with the new roster next month at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.
Blacklist International are by far the post-TI12 shuffle winners in Southeast Asia, at least on paper, but they gave quite the scare to all Dota 2 fans when they lost in the first open qualifier leg.
However, they regrouped fast and reached the closed qualifiers where they powered through Bleed Esports, Talon Esports, and Geek Fam to claim the only spot available in the SEA region.
Their closed qualifier run had mixed results,
being dropped into the lower bracket by Geek Fam. They managed to bounce back with a 2-1 over the newcomers from Talon in the lower bracket final to then take revenge over Geek fam with a 3-1 grand finals score.
ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 will mark the first tournament where Abed Yusop will compete under an SEA organisation after four years spent in North America with Evil Geniuses and Shopify Rebellion. It will also mark only the second overall LAN appearance for Blacklist International. Who made their entrance into the Dota 2 field at the beginning of this year.
Blacklist will be the only SEA representative at ESL One Kuala Lumpur and will join 11 other teams in their quest for the title and a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
